A sad day indeed with the departure of the internationally known and loved activist. With his unique approach to presentation and obvious unending love of nature and animals people everywhere were introduced to countless creatures and their issues.
Love him or hate him (and some couldn't stand his approach!) his entheusiasm was utterly undeniable and marvellously infectious.
The only slight, and it is very slight, silver lining is that he died doing what he loved, documenting nature.
He will be missed.
